なかでも、福岡と佐賀にまたがる筑紫平野、熊本の阿蘇、八代平野、大分や日田、中津盆地などが、西日本有数の米どころとして知られており、九州のみならず、全国でも美味しいと評判のお米が育っています。
そして、お米は産地や品質だけでなく、作り手の想いと毎年の天候によって味が変動します。

九州ライスストレージでは、五ツ星お米マイスターが厳選したお米をお届けします。
五ツ星お米マイスターは、お米マイスター全国ネットワークが認定している資格です。
“お米に関する幅広い知識を持ち、米の特性（品種特性、精米特性）、ブレンド特性、炊飯特性を見極めることができ、その米の特長を最大限に活かした「商品づくり」を行い、その米の良さを消費者との対話を通じて伝えることができる者”として認定試験の合格者のみその資格が与えられます。
五ツ星お米マイスター
大阪府堺市生まれ。大学卒業後、大阪の一般企業に就職。その後、妻の実家のお米屋さんへ就職。はじめの数年間は、搗精工場にてお米の知識･品質･食味、精米技法･ブレンド技術などを習得。高知県産玄米の買取や田んぼ視察など、仕入れにも携わる。数年後、営業職に移動。業務配達や販路開拓、生産者の新規開拓で四国中を日々駆け巡る。
たくさんの生産者の方々との出会いで、日常の当たり前な事柄への感謝の心を再認識させられる。
全国各地のお米の産地を選び、品種を選ぶ当店の量り売りスタイルにすることで、お米・ご飯に興味を持ち、選ぶ楽しさを知っていただきたい。その土地土地の自然の恵を頂く事への感謝の氣持ち、食と人、人と人のご縁を結ぶそのきっかけ作りになりたいと、13年間の高知県での生活から地元堺市に戻り開業。今に至る。

白川水源で有名な熊本県の南阿蘇村を始め、大分県七瀬川の清流水でつくられるお米など、土地の特性に合わせて栽培された美味しいお米を揃えております。

九州一の都市部ですが、郊外は自然豊かな県です。
夢つくしという福岡県産限定のお米が人気です。
佐賀平野を筆頭に九州でも屈指の米どころです。
県産米のさがびよりやゆめしずくは、全国的にファンが多いです。
平地が少なく、収穫量としては他県と比較して少な目です。
しかし、温暖な気候のため収穫時期が早い特徴があります。
九州山脈に連なる阿蘇地方は冬は非常に寒く、夏は冷涼で過ごしやすいため東北地方に近い環境で米づくりを行っています。
熊本の阿蘇同様、九州山脈に連なる日田・竹田も近い環境で稲作を行っています。大分市近辺は気候が暖かいため、肥料や水路整備など知恵を使って米をつくっている農家が多いです。
野菜や畜産のイメージが強い宮崎県ですが、実は九州地方でよく食べられている「ヒノヒカリ」の生まれ故郷です。
3月に田植え、7月に収穫という全国的にも早い米づくりをしている地域です。
南国のイメージが強い鹿児島県ですが、薩摩半島は降雪がある位寒暖差があります。田の神様（たのかんさぁ）と呼ばれる五穀豊穣を祈る小さな石像が県内の道々にあります。
